REALTORS

CHIC offers licensed Realtors a variety of ways they can participate in CHIC housing programs and earn commissions.

  • Realtors can represent buyers on sale of a CHIC home and help them qualify for a down payment assistance grant. 
  • Realtors can represent Builders and list homes they built for the INFIL Program. 
  • Realtors can identify blighted properties and participate in their sale to CHIC for its Blight Removal Program.

LENDERS

Any bank, savings and loan institution, credit union or other qualified lender can participate in the CHIC administered Infil Program as a new home first mortgage lender.

Lender Responsibilities:

  • Determine the Infil buyer’s qualification for a first mortgage.

  • Notify CHIC if the borrowers reported income exceeds the HUD allowed gross income amounts for household size.

  • Provide the buyer a fixed rate mortgage with reasonable lender fees.
  • Provide CHIC copies of the borrower’s mortgage prequalification letter, Truth in Lending Statement and loan application.
  • Insure the Infil grant is used for a down payment on the loan and not used for closing costs or other related loan fees.
